It all began with LGBT Forest Gate organising Forest Gate's first gay pride back in 2017, a groundbreaking success!

The introduction of the play street was a stroke of genius, creating a joyful atmosphere where everyone could freely explore Godwin Road, enjoy delightful surprises like ice cream, and revel in the diverse array of stalls—from clothing and flowers/plants to delectable baked goods and even original fireplaces. Apologies to those we missed visiting!

In 2019, we introduced a new theme at the Summer Fete—Rabbit Season! Despite the warm weather, staff embraced the fun by dressing up as rabbits and enthusiastically participating. We're already looking forward to all the events!
Every year, we sponsor the Woodgrange School summer fete. In 2024, the PTA raised an impressive £10,000, enabling them to support school improvements and fund several great projects, including an outdoor zone playground. Huge congratulations and thanks to the PTA and all other supporters!
2024 marked the beginning of our sponsorship of Godwin Junior School's summer fete, which was an outstanding success. The event featured a BBQ with drinks, a live band, plenty of ice cream, and even a raffle! It truly had something for everyone.
